I think [info]blindleadsblind will especially like it with his ealier post about innuendo.

Also something I found amusing it that today, according to google.com, is the Birthday of Louis Braille. So they put the title of the website into braille dot pictures. I found it cute, and odd, that it still made sense to me.

This has been the most... interesting... birthday to date. I've already had more friends remember than all my family put together for the last 5 years or so. And all this by 7am. It's odd. Of course the fact that I've spent all night trying to catch up on all the internet things I've let lapse might have something to do with it.

Many good thoughts to [info]frankspace and [info]palmetto for their especially early wishes. :)

    Argh
I can't log into Gmail right now. I have a minumim of 6 emails I need to send, plus whatever has come in since the event.

    *growl*

As far as the event goes, I had a great time. Marie did a fantastic job as Res. She'll be fine at LT. We had about 7 new people at the event. The young ladies from Darkwater were great. I expect to see more of them in the future. I also got some great advice at the novice artsci. I don't know that I'll have something by Winter, but I'll try for Summer. The gift exchange was fun. The tidycats wrapping was very popular. I put in an $8 bottle of sangria and got a bottle of johnny walker black label. I've been told that I came out pretty good. I'll figure somethingput, but I doubt (given I'm a fruity drink kind of girl) that I shall fall in love with it.

Posts forthcoming on trip to South Fl. and observations made on greyhound are in the future.

    Dear Santa...

    Dear Santa,

    This year I've been busy!

In April I pushed [info]palmetto in the mud (-17 points). In July I farted in an elevator (-6 points). In September I saved a busload of nuns in Angola (326 points). In May I bought porn for [info]alagbon (10 points). In October I helped [info]queerboy101 see the light (8 points).

Overall, I've been nice (321 points). For Christmas I deserve an Easy-Bake Oven!

    Sincerely,
    vistillia

I just want to curl up and sleep for a week. It's only Tuesday, but I am ready for this to be over. I haven't been getting enough sleep, and I've been on my feet constantly since before the event. I know it isn't unusual for others and I am still very fortunatly.

I'm also still very happy with this class. Some of the folks need to find a different career, and probably will after their first rotation in a hospital or Nursing home. The main teacher has realized I seem to know what I'm doing, and is using me too check and correct some of the others, and not objecting when I don't take copious notes or seem to hang on every word of hers. Much better than the last teacher.

    Off to eat.

Event and the rest of November is counting down. I haven't a clue how many things I have to do this weekend, but I'll figure it out. (Hospitalers meeting is not schedules, nor is Scribe's point. I'm ready for a nervous breakdown, I like plans and schedules, and haven't finished all my prepreparation)

This weekend was fun. I enjoyed every moment.

We got to Jacksonville at 8:30, sooner than I anticipated. Then my associate soon-to-be sister and [info]ysabela went out to a little place for sushi for dinner. Afterward, as we were talking in the parkinglot, some guy was driving one of those vaccum trucks around the shopping center parking lot. It was completely random. Now I can understand he has to miss cars that are still parkes, but he was doing figure eights and donuts and would stop every few minutes pick up a single piece of trash, and go back on his crazy route. I suggested the man might be weaking a BK king mask, and received quite a dirty look. Saturday was a dfay of classes and scrolls. I finished one which Gwen commandeered for Art Sci. Given all the handouts and information disks she passed out I can't complain. There were also 98 people at this daytrip event. One of them came all the way from Alabama. Then since neither my ride nor I had feast, we went out to Sushi again before driving home That night. I was a happy camper.

[info]ysabela, Roibeard, and I are moving the belting to Pilgramage. Mundane issues came up for MartinMass. Now to tell folks since I think neither of them have done so yet.

The demo today was small, but fun. I swear it's the same 5 people with a rotating alternate fringe. Yay team student and unemployed! We had the 3 Chin adults, [info]tlh_in_tlh, [info]faerytink, Lachlan, and myself. Miklos and Lachlan fough heavy and light, TLH and myself did some talking, though it was mostly TLH. And I got outof the house.

[info]palmetto can you or the dragon bring the glaive from Yule to my place on the way to work Wed. or Thurs.? The Chins will begiving me a ride to the meeting and can pick it and myself up.

I had a good time at [info]palmetto and [info]lady_isabella's party. I'm glad I decided to go out rather than stay home. I really should go out more. I'll be bussing to the demo tomorrow. That's assuming I can find everything I need. I also need to stop at publix on the way back and get a money order for the rent. My exciting life.

I was glad tobe there for Ceddie and his mom on Thursday, but my own mortality has almost been a physical weight since then. Bah, I hate it when this happens. But tonight was a good night, and I shall sleep on that note.

So Greyhound is only going as faras Orlando today. I would really like to be down with my grandmother to help her out. Apparently my Dad wishes I was down there to run interfearance for him as well. He had called mom a few times to see if I could make it. Perhaps if I could convince him to pick me up in Orlando...

On the bright side, this made me giggle hysterically...

    Some Evenings....
Tonight was incredible surreal. Picture the American Legion hall. Wood floors, various memoribilia and sloagans about remembering veterans on the walls, a general air of respectibility. NOw realize that the local pagan council has rented the hall for a witches ball fundraiser. So you have folks walking around in everything from generic modern witch, generic olde Victorian witch, to pvc vinyl witch and her little alternative, kinky bretheren. All these folks in the Legion hall, which they tried to cover with other decorations, but you still had the underlying theme. Now into this mix throw a local Tallahassee Zydeco band, all of whom look like they were just recently taken out of the Bayou, but have, apparently, been in the North florida area for years.

    I am less than pleased.

I'm supposed to go to South Florida on the 25. I'll have to wait and see what happens in terms of Wilma.

I am most distressed because my mom's current travel contract is in Ft. Meyer's Beach. She is 500ft. from the shoreline on the 3rd floor of a condo. I can only hope and pray she works in the hospital for this mess.

And if it stays on track, once it's blunted it's edge slightly, it hits the east coast where my father and Grandmother live.

The armpit of the state isn't looking too bad right now.

Panhandle went very well. Not only did [info]queerboy101 get his well deserved AoA, [info]selyrabbit received her court baronacy. I did his AoA scroll (including the calligraphy) and [info]cirya did Selyrabbits, with Maeva doing the calligraphy.

Scribes point was a blast. Maeva and I had a great time, and 2 folks were introuduced t the scribal arts. One finished a scroll with me, the other was taught by [info]scrapsoflife and finished her outlines and took it home to finish, along with a blank for another scroll.

Maeva insisted I do the fill in calligraphy on the other awards since I was doing so well with my scroll *grumble* The Bastardes aren't bad, abd I plan on getting semi-compotent with them before moving on. THe unical on the other hand...

As far as my world went, it was a very scribal weekend.

    mmmmmm sleep.
This weekend went well. My staff did their jobs without me having to worry once about them. The Res books balanced perfectly. The fighting went well for everyone involved. The wicker man went off without a hitch. The folks involved in the copmetitve storytlling had a great time. Feast was absolutely fantastic. Court was short and sweet.

All in all, it made up for 20th year.

Oh, and [info]blindleadsblind actually sat back in a slacker chair and rested, while being fed grapes and fanned.
